On your first visit to our office, please bring your insurance card. We will email you a link to fill out our online new patient packet.
Your insurance determines your coverage. Any amount not covered by your insurance will be due that day.
We accept most insurance plans and as a courtesy, we will submit your insurance claim for you. The portion that is not covered by the insurance company is your responsibility and due at the time of service. If payment is not met in full at time of services, then a statement will be sent to you and will reflect a service fee.
It is a benefit to you to know and understand what your insurance benefits are, including deductibles and co-pays. Regrettably, we do not dictate insurance policies and can only work with them. We will make every effort to help you understand your coverages.
We would be happy to discuss fees and insurance with parents prior to the first visit in our office.
Our receptionists will discuss this with you, and answer any questions you may have prior to making your first appointment.
It is quite normal for children to be anxious about their first visit to the dentist. Pediatric dentists have special training in helping anxious children feel secure during treatment. Also, pediatric dental offices are designed to make children feel comfortable.
Dr. Mark and his team will do
their best to make your child comfortable. Feel free to let your child bring their favorite comfort toy or blanket. Team members choose to work in our pediatric dental practice because they enjoy working with children.
Seeing several children in one family at the same time is never a problem for our staff. We know that our parents have busy schedules, and we do our best to stay on schedule at all times.
Dr. Mark is a pediatric dentist, he specializes in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist like Dr. Mark is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education. We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their ”cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

I've taken my very unique special needs daughter here two times now and both times were wonderful experiences! Dr. Mark is very patient as is the entire staff (something that is as rare as my daughter these days). Ease of doing business at the reception area. Everyone makes us feel important. I really appreciate these people and will go as long as they will have us. Now if only I could find a grown up dentist like this!

I was a little nervous taking my son in for his first check up but Dr Mark made his first experience at the dentist a wonderful one. The staff is very warm and kind, my son actually asked when we could come back! His hygienist was fantastic with him as well! I highly recommend Dr. Mark.

I highly recommend Dr. Steinmetz and his staff. I drive all the way from Oshkosh for his wonderful service he and his staff provides.
He got my son at age 6 to stop sucking his thumb by an mouth appliance they put in the roof of his mouth. My son stopped thumb sucking immediately.

“Dr Steinmetz, children’s dental health on CE as was mentioned. I went there as a child when it was a father-son clinic still. Staff all remembered me 15 years later!
We love Dr. Mark @ Children’s Dental Health Center. Our family dentist referred us to him when my younger girls needed some cavities fixed. We’ve been with them ever since.
Another vote for Dr. Steinmetz! Our family goes to Dr. Katie Leyes at Aspen Dental, she’s great for routine cleaning/care. For pediatric cavities or ortho, she recommends Dr. Steinmetz. Our 8 yo goes there for ortho and LOVES it!!!!

How are Appointments Setup?
Our office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason. Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.
Please make every effort to keep scheduled appointments. Once an appointment is scheduled, it is considered confirmed. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled, a 48 hour notice is appreciated. There may be a missed appointment charge if 24 hour notice is not given.
In case of a dental emergency please call our main office number at 920-731-5562 for further instructions on how to either reach Dr. Mark or our on-call clinic staff member.

Insurance & Payment Procedures
Dental care for children is an important part of their total health program. We believe that caring for your child’s teeth should not become a financial burden for you. In the event that full payment is not possible at the time services are rendered, we have some payment methods that may assist you.
If you have dental insurance you are aware that these plans vary greatly. We will help you review your benefits. For your convenience, we also accept major credit cards.
We are happy that you have dental insurance for your child. Since there are many insurance companies and they all cover at different rates, it is very confusing for the dental office and the parent to know what insurance will actually pay. To keep things as simple as possible and less confusing, our office policy is to charge the same fee to all patients so it is as fair as possible.
We will accept payment from your insurance company, but insurance usually only pays a portion of the cost. Since this portion can range from 25% to 100%, we will give you an estimate of your portion based on our experience working with your company. This means that after your insurance has paid, you may be required to pay an additional payment or you may receive a refund. We will be glad to send a predetermination upon request; however, dental insurance companies are currently responding in 30-90 days.
We are pleased to offer electronic billing to our families with dental insurance. With your complete subscriber information, we can electronically bill the primary insurance carrier the same day as services are rendered. In order to successfully process a claim, the following information is necessary: the subscriber's name, address, birth date, social security number, employer, and insurance company’s name and address.
